Komet has announced that Eric Hymes has been appointed as Komet USA's new Chief Executive Officer.
Komet, a leader in the production of highly specialized and precise dental rotary instruments, has announced that Eric Hymes has been appointed as Komet USA’s new Chief Executive Officer. He assumes responsibilities on April 1, 2025.

Hymes started at Komet USA in 2024 as Vice President of Sales and Business Development to build, lead and develop the sales team and strategies in the general dentistry and endodontics product arenas.
He joined Komet following a 25-year career in various leadership roles ranging from sales, marketing, general management, M&A and consulting in the medical device industry. Most recently, Eric served as the Vice President of Business Development at Dentsply Sirona, where his role encompassed strategic pricing, clinical education and academies, enterprise marketing, PMO and channel sales with a corporate P&L of $1.6B.

Hymes holds a bachelor’s degree from Radford University in Virginia. He also is a US Army combat medic veteran, which was a catalyst in his pursuing a corporate career in healthcare. He also serves as founder and executive director of Hope on Short Final, "a non-profit organization that airlifts emergency relief supplies to communities affected by weather disasters.
