The H1 is a round-shaped tungsten carbide bur used for oral surgery and cavity preparation.

The H1 can be used on the following:

Cutting and excavating tooth structure.
Removal of material to provide a smoother surface.

It is available in the following sizes:

The H1 carbide shape matches the 801 diamond bur shape.

Cavity Preparation Procedure

If using Komet’s H1 for cavity prepartion, we recommend using the following for your entire procedure:

Open the central groove with a carbide, like H31, H7 or H245 or a diamond, like 801 or 6835.
Remove the decayed dentin with an H1, H1SE or CeraBur .
Complete the filing.
Shape the filling with the H246, H379 or a Facial Surface Trimming carbide: H132.
Lastly, use a flame- or cup-shaped pre-polisher and a flame- or cup-shaped high-shine polisher from our TD2948A CompoBrite Polisher Kit.
