Komet's 8862 is a feather edge-shaped, fine grit (red) diamond for crown preparation and composite finishing.

This feather edge diamond bur is available in the following grits:

The 8862 diamond matches the H48L cardbide finisher.

Crown Preparation Procedure

If using Komet’s 8862 for crown preparation, we recommend using the following for your entire procedure:

For primary preparation, use an extra-coarse (purple) diamond, like the 856XC from Komet’s Deep Purple line, or a medium grit diamond, like the 847KR.
Finish the preparation with an identically shaped diamond, like the fine-grit (red) 8856.
Lastly, use a flame- or cup-shaped pre-polisher and a flame- or cup-shaped high-shine polisher
