About  

Komet's Endo Rescue Kit 4601  can be used to safely and effectively remove a fragmented NiTi endo file that was fractured during root canal treatment.
 
Broken Endodontic File in Root CanalThis easy-to-use broken endo file retrieval kit is indispensable in emergencies and provides access to the opening of the root canal, allowing fractured NiTi files to be removed.

Endo Rescue Kit contents: 
The following instruments are also available in size 070 and 110 and available for purchase separately from the Endo Rescue Kit:
  • Gates Glidden (G180)
  • RKP
  • RKT

Instructions on how to remove a broken endo file with Komet's Endo Rescue Kit:

1. The fragmented file is in a mesial root.

 

2. Reshape the access cavity with the EndoGuard (H269GK.FGL.016) at 100,000 rpm 

 

3. Use the Gates Glidden (G180A.RA.110) at 800 rpm to straighten the coronal curvature and create direct access to the fragmented file with axial movements 

 

4. Prepare the canal access down to the fragmented file with the Gates Glidden (G180.RA.090) at 800 rpm 

 

5. The surface of the fractured file is now exposed. Drill around the fragment with the RKP.RA.090 at 300 rpm 

 

6. Use the RKT.RA.090 at 300 rpm in a counter-clockwise rotation to surround and seize the fragment. The fragment should be firmly held within the trepan instrument (RKT) by residual dentin.

 

7. The remaining third of the canal can now be properly prepared

 

8. Complete filling and the rest of the treatment
